June | Pearl

The month of June is one of the only three months (with August and December) that has three birthstones: pearl, alexandrite, and moonstone.

The Pearl is the traditional birthstone of June.

In mythology, this enchanting gemstone is known to be the teardrop of mythical creatures such as mermaids or angels, or perhaps drops of the moon that fell into the sea.

Metaphysical and healing properties

Pearls have been used in a number of cultures to help women connect with their “inner goddesses” and their feminine energy.

They are thought to be giving the wearer a sense of calmness, symbolising purity, integrity, innocence and protection while also having connections with the moon.
